The Great Nomadic Retreat

What makes our equestrian tour and retreat unique?

Join us on the greatest nomadic horse ride and retreat! Travel the Gobi Desert on horseback. Discover the last horse culture, immerse ourself in the experience, and ride Mongolian horses while learning horsemanship and building confidence in the heart of Mongolia.

Experience the nomadic culture from the back of a horse. Relax, have fun, and enjoy the ride while changing your mindset into one that is more positive! Hosted by Heather Wallace, The Timid Rider, and Camille Champagne, FEI 3* Endurance Rider and Natural Horsemanship Trainer.

One of a kind horses

Have you ever wanted to ride a Mongolian horse but were a little nonplussed by their semi-feral reputation? Our horses are chosen for their calm demeanor and trained for non-Mongolian riders. Join the morning muster to bring in the horses and ride each day with Heather Wallace, The Timid Rider and Camille Champagne, an FEI 3* endurance rider and natural horsemanship trainer.

Daily Yoga and Guided Meditation

Finish each evening with yoga designed for equestrians in mind and guided meditation to improve relaxation and build confidence. Be in the moment, in a land where you are truly connected to your innermost self.

Then, follow that up with a private massage and Happy Hour! Let’s chat about our day riding horses across the steppe over our favorite drinks and some snacks.

A Buddhist monk. Buddhism is the primary religion in Mongolia but shamanism is still often practiced in the countryside.

Experience the Culture

This isn’t your ordinary retreat or horse riding adventure. Let’s get back to basics but experience firsthand the true horse culture unique to Mongolia.

Chef-catered breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided each day. Sleep in a ger, the traditional home of the nomad families, and leave the outside world behind.

Some of the possible excursions or activities in addition to the daily riding, yoga, and horsemanship lessons may include a riverside picnic, visiting a local family, watching demonstrations of local horsemanship games, join a Buddhist-monk guided meditation and camel races!
